Chippenham Park is a thriving family estate. The house, gardens, and park were created at the very end of the 17th century by Admiral Lord Russell with permission from William III.
The gardens have been recently awarded the highest two-star rating by the Good Gardens Guide. If you’ve dreamt of getting married in a country house, your search for a venue stops here. Chippenham Park is a privately owned Grade II listed house, surrounded by 300 acres of parkland.
Famous for its fine gardens and set in 300 acres of parkland, Chippenham Park offers the opportunity for spectacular photographs. This wedding venue epitomises the traditional, charming English country house wedding venue, yet is welcoming and relaxed. The impressive approach to the house is up a long private drive flanked by elegant tulip trees and large limes.
It is licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies in four locations for 12 – 120 guests.
On the edge of the lake with an aisle surrounded by trees and flowers, the pretty Summer House complete with climbing roses, is our most romantic ceremony spot. The elegant oak and lead gazebo is another option, nestled in the yew hedges on the lawns leading down from the house.
If you have a connection with one of our three local parishes, you can have your ceremony in the beautiful 13th century St Margaret’s Church that is just a short walk away. Contact the rector Mike Banyard, on 01638 721 616
